Join us for a gentle but inspiring midsummer evening's stroll around one of London's ‘Magnificent Seven’ cemeteries, and its most central urban woodland.
Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park offers everyone a breathing space in the heart of East London. This 31-acre nature reserve is a people’s park, a sanctuary for wildlife, a place for remembrance and a site for community events, field studies and forest schools. Always changing with the seasons and rooted in the unique heritage of the East End, it’s a place full of history, discovery and possibilities for all.
Ken Greenway began working for the Friends over twenty years ago in September 2002. Now the manager of the Cemetery Park, he works with the Friends, volunteers, the local council, and visitors to the Cemetery Park to conserve, protect and develop the site.
