About the event
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the opening of Canada Dock at Rotherhithe, part of the Surrey Commercial Docks. Originally much larger, the dock was truncated in the 1980's to become what is now known as Canada Water. This members-only walk is the final event of a four-part mini-series which will reveal and celebrate the history of the body of water whose name now defines a unique and ever-evolving district of inner London.
Join Ann Smith for a fascinating walking tour of Canada Water, hearing first hand about what the Surrey Commercial Docks were like when they were actually docks.
